The Sony 50-150 f/2 GM was officially announced April 2025 and it's a serious statement from Sony - offering a constant f/2 aperture across the versatile focal range. This lens is made for photographers and videographers who want speed, sharpness and flexibility in one! 🎬 In this video, I take the 50-150 GM out in the field and put it through a full day of use — here’s what stood out. 🔥 What I Liked: • That 50–150mm range covers so much — perfect for portraits, events, weddings, and even tighter street or documentary work. • The constant f/2 is wild. Super useful for low light and gives you beautiful separation and creamy bokeh, especially at 150mm. • Incredible sharpness — wide open, edge to edge. 🤔 What I Didn’t Like: • No OSS (Optical SteadyShot) — which would’ve helped for handheld slow shutter • It gets heavy — I used it for nearly 8 hours straight, and you definitely feel it by the end. This lens is a powerhouse, no doubt — but it comes with trade-offs. If you’re someone who prioritizes image quality and that sweet f/2 look, it might just be worth the weight.
