This weekend, I headed to Disneyland Paris with a packed schedule: the brand-new Sleeping Beauty Royal Waltz on the Castle Stage, and A Musical Moment with Mary Poppins and the Pearly Band in Disney Adventure World. The kind of day you plan with stars in your eyes, all by yourself, ready to film everything. Except… the heatwave hit ☀️🥵 And as is standard procedure in case of extreme heat, several outdoor shows were canceled for everyone's safety—including the cast members, who did an incredible job adapting and keeping the magic alive despite the difficult conditions. So no, this video isn't about the heatwave. It's about what you do when Plan A falls through (or rather, bakes you in the sun): you slow down, rediscover classics at a leisurely pace, and enjoy yourself in a different way. The result: a truly great time at Phantom Manor (I was always a little hesitant about the queue… spoiler alert: a pleasant surprise 👀), and long, well-deserved reading breaks in the cool shade. A day that didn't go as planned, but still full of wonderful things.
