At the time, Tesla was offering $3,750 off the price of a Model Y Long Range which was priced at roughly $65K. In addition, there was no Federal Tax Credit of $7,500 before year end. Shortly after filming this video, Tesla actually upped the discount on the Model Y to $7,500 closer to 12/31 as long as you took delivery by year end as the key requirement of the deal. During the rental of this Model Y, we decided to do a comparison of the Model Y with the GV60 because of these incentives, and truly decided to consider a switch with a trade in on her GV60 for a Model Y. Also, as all of us found out late at night on 1/12/2023, Tesla significantly lowered their pricing on all their models which has no doubt changed the calculus for so many people.
