How Real Steel Solved The Plot Armor Problem
So I rewatched Real Steel. A movie about robots punching each other. As a grown adult. On purpose. And I walked away weirdly convinced it pulled off something half the serious, important, award-bait movies never manage. It lets the hero lose. The little guy gets his one big shot and he just... doesn't win it. Now insteaddd of chucking my remote across the room, I sat there feeling like I'd watched the best ending in the whole genre and needed to make a sub-par video about it to uhm compliment it or something. Hope you enjoy my hot takes, I promise I won't piss off Transformers fans this time.
