Managing strangulation in primary care: 2026 update
GPs are often the first person women disclose their experiences of domestic, family and sexual violence to. In this 2026 update, Women's Health NSW and guest speaker Dr Wei-May Su, the Chair of the RACGP Specific Interests Abuse and Violence in Families and practicing GP, use case study and practice-based examples to emphasise the important role healthcare providers play in responding to strangulation, sexual choking and brain injury. This webinar supports GPs, healthcare providers and other service providers working with women to identify, screen for, and address the short- and long-term needs of women who experience strangulation and/or brain injury.
