🇵🇹 Yesterday, Portugal moved forward with more harsh changes for immigrants. Parliament approved a proposal that eliminates two important regularization pathways for foreigners who entered the country without a visa: 📌 regularization through vocational training 📌 regularization for parents of foreign minors studying in Portugal This shows once again how fragile our rights as immigrants are. What exists in the law today can change rapidly. What seemed possible yesterday may no longer be possible tomorrow. And those who feel this most are those trying to work, study, and raise children within the available rules. Don't come to Portugal without a visa. Seek out trusted professionals to help you find the best path for your profile. The next steps involve promulgation by the President of the Republic and publication in the Official Gazette to come into force. The visa application process outside of Portugal for professional training remains the same. The only change applies to those who entered the country as tourists.
