I Visited Malaysia’s Best Elephant Sanctuary… DONE RIGHT 🐘🇲🇾
Most people don’t even know Malaysia has elephants, let alone an ethical elephant sanctuary hidden in the jungle...this was one of the most surprising and peaceful experiences I’ve had in Malaysia! 🇲🇾 Get the Malaysia Insider Pass & Relocation Blueprint ► https://calendly.com/glplawyers/reloc... 💵 Want to relocate your residency or business to Malaysia? In this vlog, I visit what many consider Malaysia’s best elephant sanctuary to see what ethical elephant tourism actually looks like. Unlike many elephant attractions in nearby countries, this sanctuary focuses on conservation, rehabilitation, and education — not riding, performances, or exploitation. Visitors can observe the elephants, feed them, learn their stories, and support conservation efforts through optional donations. The elephants have space, water, and natural surroundings, and the experience feels calm, respectful, and authentic. In this video, I take you through the sanctuary, show you the adult and baby elephants, share practical tips for visiting, and explain why places like this are becoming more important as human development continues to reduce wildlife habitats across Southeast Asia. You’ll also get a sense of the atmosphere, the people visiting, and why this experience feels very different from typical elephant tourism. If you’re travelling in Malaysia, living here as an expat, or just curious about ethical travel in Southeast Asia, this is a side of Malaysia most tourists never see. It’s an easy day trip from Kuala Lumpur and a great reminder that Malaysia has far more to offer than just big cities and shopping malls. 0:19 - Entry process (free!) 0:56 - Exercise and open feeding yard 3:30 - Feeding the baby elephants 4:50 - Feeding the big elephant 5:05 - Elephant gallery (education & history) 6:46 - Importance of wildlife conservation 7:44 - Tips for visiting Kuala Gandah Subscribe for more videos about travelling & living smarter overseas, from an Aussie abroad.
