Yandang Mountain is located in Yueqing City, Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province, and is known as one of China’s Top Ten Famous Mountains. It has earned the titles “Famous Mountain on the Sea” and “Supreme Wonder of the World,” and was historically praised as the “Number One Mountain in Southeast China.” Formed during the Cretaceous period around 120 million years ago, it is a classic example of a rhyolitic ancient volcano and is hailed as a “natural museum of rhyolite.” Yandang Mountain combines magnificence, steep cliffs, and stunning beauty. It’s full of geological wonders, cascading waterfalls, ancient temples, and rich cultural heritage — truly one of China’s finest natural landscapes. The mountain range stretches extensively, covering about 450 square kilometers and featuring over 550 scenic spots divided into eight major areas. Previously, we explored the Fangdong and Lingyan Scenic Areas. Today, I’ll be taking you through one of the most famous sections — the Lingfeng Scenic Area.
