Come spend the day with my little family in Brooklyn. We start the morning in the car, chatting about why reading matters and the ways books shape our minds, attention, and imagination. From there, we head to Industry City to continue our home renovation journey with a stop at Floor & Decor, dreaming about the spaces we’re building for our family. We grab a meal together, let our son enjoy a few rounds at the arcade, and wander through one of my favorite places in Brooklyn: the Japanese grocery market. The day ends with a trip to Micro Center to pick up our laptop after a diagnostic appointment… and unfortunately, the news wasn’t great. Naturally, I couldn’t resist a little debate about Macs versus PCs and which one truly stands the test of time. These ordinary weekends—filled with conversation, errands, family meals, and small adventures—have become some of my favorite parts of adulthood and parenthood.
