This video should give you the idea but if you want more instruction check out Dan Hurds channel at    / @danhurd   Getting a gold claim in BC is pretty simple; first get a Free Miners Certificate from the government office (costs ~$25 or $50). Second, access Mineral Titles online (Google MTO BC) and select an available claim from the interactive map. The cost is $100 for the first year and then you can keep it indefinitely as long as you perform and report $400 worth of prospecting activities each year.
