Transitional Light - Phenomenon that is exhibited when a Transitional Field makes photons move faster than the proposed speed of light, similar to Cherenkov radiation. It usually signals that a Transitional Field is in close range. 101.9MHz - The distorted Transitional Field signal. When the transmission goes through the gateways, it turns into a 101.9MHz frequency that can be picked up with standard equipment. The actual Transitional Field signal is a mix of many different shortwave frequencies. Gate - When an extremely complex set of conditions is met, a gateway may be opened to the Corridors. A permanent gateway can also open in a random place if the conditions are right, but if any radio station changes or ceases operation in that area, it is very likely that the entire gateway disappears due to the conditions changing. Due to the atmosphere scattering the signals, the spot with the perfect conditions for a gateway to open can also shift over time.
