It's an old electrical system from the 1960s with the classic cables buried in the wall. After 1990, it was retrofitted with a circuit breaker. After checking with a phase tester, I determined that the system was Phase/Phase, not Phase/Neutral. This factor influenced the choice of cable colors. In fact, considering that black, brown, or gray cable is generally used for the Phase, while blue is used for the Neutral and the yellow-green ground wire, in my new Phase/Phase system, there will be no blue (neutral) cable. Therefore, I purchased black, gray, and brown cables in addition to the yellow-green cable. I took advantage of the lack of screed to run the corrugated pipes for the new underfloor system. Although the electrical, TV, and telephone lines will be separated with dedicated junction boxes, I did not choose the corrugated pipes. Since they were given to me, I used them based on quantity and diameters of 20 mm and 25 mm. The CEI 64-100/2 guide recommends these colors: Black: electricity distribution and home automation Blue: intercom system and audio/video distribution, Hi-Fi. Green: telephone system, TV, data transmission Brown: security alarm systems. This is advice, not obligation. The walls were marked for the corrugated pipes, junction boxes, sockets, switches, and emergency lights. In doing this, with the help of an electrician friend, the most optimal and shortest possible route was identified. On the advice of my electrician friend, before starting the work of breaking down the walls to create the routes, I quickly created a flying service circuit. After DISCONNECTING THE POWER, I disconnected the power cables from the old system and connected two temporary flying cables to the existing 10A and 16A switches, dedicated to a light and a socket, respectively. This isolated the old system and allowed me to work on the routes without having to worry about cutting any concealed cables that were now depleted of power. The thickness of the new cables will be: 4 mm² for the FM (Drive Power) backbones; 2.5 mm² for the light backbones and the FM (sockets); 1.5 mm² for the lighting line. To close the tracks, I used ready-made mortar - KC1 fine plaster - ZL25 leveling compound. The new electrical panel will have four circuits, compared to the two previous ones. There will be a main switch; lighting line; kitchen FM line; ordinary FM line, and an air conditioning switch. The 4 mm² cables enter the junction boxes located at the entrance and in the corridor inside 25 mm corrugated conduits, and from these, as many 20 mm corrugated conduits as there are switches and sockets. The junction boxes I built into the wall are large enough to accommodate all the corrugated conduits that will run from there; I used PT6 and PT8 (the cables that flow together inside take up a lot of space). Running the cables through the conduits would have required two people, but with a little patience, I managed to do it myself.
