Solid Lec 7: Transient and AC Conditions for the PN Junction
In this video, we investigate the capacitance effects of the pn-junction. More specifically, we study the junction capacitance, which is dominant in reverse-biased junctions. Moreover, we study the diffusion capacitance, which is dominant in forward-biased junctions. To discuss the transient response of the pn-junction, we first derive the charge control equation. We study the ON-OFF transient problem and derive the storage delay time.
