President Mugabe attends sister's funeral, comments on his own longevity
(21 Jan 2014) President Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe, who turns 90 next month, says he doesn't have a secret for longevity. Mugabe said on Tuesday at the funeral of his sister Bridget that he didn't know why he was alive and that it was "all in God's hands." The longtime leader, who has outlived his five siblings, was addressing family members, ruling party loyalists and traditional chiefs at the funeral in Zvimba, west of the capital, Harare. His sister Bridget was 78 years old and had been critically ill for several years. Mugabe returned this month from Singapore, where he had received medical treatment in the past. He is on leave until next month.
