Control Unleashed - Look At That (LAT) game

In this video, I briefly demonstrate how to introduce your puppy to looking at a neutral object on cue. For this pattern game, a clicker is highly recommended to be used for best marker accuracy (is not required, but very helpful), and you want to ensure the neutral object you are using has NO emotional history/response to the dog. In this game, you will want to watch your handling techniques carefully, and try to be as accurate as possible when you mark the very second your puppy looks at the neutral object, even if they are not staring directly at it (this is preferred). The end result of teaching this game is that you will be able to have a conversation with your puppy about the environment around you, and your puppy can learn how to point out/indicate to novelty with an altered emotional response and alternative behavior as opposed to the normal barking/growling/fixating that may typically occur. I will continue on with more videos as we practice this game at home. This is simply showing where Reno and myself are at currently with this game with some discussion on how to teach it and how it is considered a pattern when handling mechanics are correct.
