This flan is made with apples, but if you prefer, you can use another type of fruit that goes well with flan. It will be just as spectacular. Apple Flan Ingredients: To make our flan, we will need: 500 ml of whole milk, 125 g of sugar, 1 or 2 apples, 5 eggs, The zest of half a lemon, 1 cinnamon stick. Preparation: We'll start by putting half the sugar in a pan and adding a little water. Stir it and leave it over medium heat until it starts to boil. Watch as it thickens and changes color until it reaches a golden caramel tone. This is the moment to remove the pan from the heat because it can burn and become bitter. Be careful when handling the caramel because it can burn you. Now we're going to pour it into the 1/2 liter mold. We'll put on an oven mitt to avoid burns and spread it all over the sides of the mold. Set aside. Bring the milk to a boil along with the lemon peel, the remaining sugar, and the cinnamon stick. Once it starts to boil, remove it from the heat and strain the infused milk. Let it cool slightly. In a bowl, put the 5 eggs and whisk them. Set aside. Now we're going to arrange the apple wedges that we cut earlier. In my case, I'm going to put a couple of layers, so I used about half an apple. Mix the milk with the eggs, stirring constantly so it doesn't curdle. Carefully pour everything into the mold. Now put 1.5 liters of water in the Thermomix bowl and place it in the machine. -Place the mold in the Varoma container and cover tightly with aluminum foil. Then cover with a kitchen towel or paper towel to absorb the steam. -Cover and place on the closed mixing bowl. Program 55 minutes, Varoma temperature, speed 1 (stirring speed). -After the time is up, carefully remove the lid and place the Varoma container on top. Put on an oven mitt and carefully remove the towel and aluminum foil. Insert a skewer into the flan and check if it comes out clean.
