Basia - Live at The Park West on WHVE 102.5

This cassette was recorded off of Wave 102.5's “Digital Wavelengths” series in 1989. The broadcast features Basia live at The Park West in Chicago on June 19, 1988. The performance is sourced from a CD that was never officially released and was distributed as promo to radio stations. The second half of the CD features 12" extended / instrumental mixes of songs from the Time and Tide LP. While the live portion of this CD is already available on YouTube, this is the entire disc as it aired on the radio. My Dad recorded this tape, and you'll notice that he misspelled Basia's name on the front. At the time she was still quite new, and we had only ever heard her on the radio a few times. We had no idea how to spell her name! This recording has been carefully transferred and speed-corrected to match the original performance, while preserving the natural character of the cassette and FM broadcast chain. Featuring original station sweepers, IDs, and broadcast compression exactly as it aired on WHVE 102.5.
