[4K] In The Night Garden Magical Boat Ride in CBeebies Land, join us on a gentle journey through the magical world of In the Night Garden as we board the gentle boat ride in CBeebies Land at Alton Towers. In The Night Garden Magical Boat Ride invites guests to sail past their favourite characters including Iggle Piggle, Upsy Daisy, Makka Pakka, the Tombliboos, Pontipines, and more in this beautifully themed family attraction. In the Night Garden Magical Boat Ride is manufactured by Mack Rides and opened in 2014 as part of the launch of CBeebies Land, bringing the much-loved television series to life for young visitors and their families. The In the Night Garden ride replaced Riverbank Eye Spy, which itself dated back to 1989 when it was originally known as The Canal Boat Ride in the Britannia Farm area. Over the years, the surrounding land evolved from Safeway Farm to Old MacDonald’s Farmyard before finally becoming CBeebies Land. The current version of the ride takes guests on a slow-moving boat through scenic show sets filled with familiar faces from the BBC’s In the Night Garden series, including the Ninky Nonk, Pinky Ponk, Tittifers, and Hahoos. In the Night Garden is a British preschool TV series created by Andrew Davenport and Anne Wood, the team behind Teletubbies. It features a mix of live-action and animation and was designed to reflect the dreamlike space between sleep and wakefulness in a young child’s imagination. CBeebies Land opened on May 24, 2014, replacing Storybook Land and Old MacDonald's Farmyard. It was officially launched by Mr. Tumble himself, Justin Fletcher. The area is designed especially for preschoolers and features a collection of interactive experiences, shows, and rides based on CBeebies' most popular programs including Hey Duggee, Octonauts, Peter Rabbit, JoJo & Gran Gran, and Bluey, which joined the lineup in 2024. CBeebeis Land continues to evolve, with 2025 marking the final season for Postman Pat Parcel Post, soon to be replaced by Project Sunshine, a brand-new junior coaster set to open in 2026.
