SOA Presents The Hoppers 1986

SOA is proud to present, "THE HOPPERS 1986!" Originally known as "The Hopper Brothers and Connie," Claude, Connie and Dean Hopper brought their beautiful harmonies and performances frequently to "Sing Out America," beginning in 1982. Their 1986 performance presented here easily demonstrates why The Hoppers have won numerous awards and entertained huge crowds for generations! The Hoppers are a Southern gospel singing group from North Carolina, with music combining Southern gospel with Pop, country, and even rock music. The Hoppers are a family ensemble, first performing together in 1957. They appeared at the inauguration ceremony for Ronald Reagan in 1981 and won awards for Mixed Vocal Group from the Southern Gospel Music Association in 1982 and 1983, when they first appeared on "Sing Out America" on the CBN, ACTS and FamilyNet cable networks! Both Claude and Connie Hopper have been inducted into the Southern Gospel Music Hall of Fame in 2014 (Claude) and 2010 (Connie) respectively. In addition, the Hoppers were inducted into the Gospel Music Association Hall of Fame in 2012. The Hoppers continue to perform to huge crowds, three generations strong and over 60 years performing! And yes, Connie and Claude continue to perform with son Dean leading the way, as they bring the "Sing Out" to Sing Out America!
