60163 Tornado storms past Crofton & Swindon on 'The Cathedrals Express' - 29/11/12

BR A1 Class 4-6-2 no.60163 'Tornado' was out and about in the south again on her second run in BR Blue, this time in sunny weather hauling the London Victoria - Newbury - Bristol TM - Swindon - London Victoria tour 'The Cathedrals Express' (1Z96/1Z97). For the outward run I went to a favourite spot of mine, Crofton on the Berks & Hants line where Tornado is heard whistling up for the crossing by the bridge then passes us light by the beautiful mid-afternoon light. For the return I went to my local of Swindon Station again, only this time Tornado would be coming straight through. She can be heard in the distance whistling to the remains of the once great Swindon Works, then passes at speed into the night, running around about 15-20 mins late. One thing I have noticed is the tone of her whistle has changed, has it been re-tuned at all? Filmed on a Panasonic HDC-HS900 with ProSound L92AA and Panasonic VW-VMS2E Microphones. Enjoy.
