However, those of us who learned it incorrectly find it difficult to properly understand English sentence structure. We learned the be verb, which doesn't exist in Korean, as the Korean "~이다" (~이다). ㅜㅜ This forces us to memorize English formulas and prevents us from truly understanding sentence structure or meaning! The video is a bit long because I'm trying to explain this concept, which is new to me. Still, if you watch it all the way to the end, you'll see English differently. (Oh, I wish I could just explain it as "~이다"...ㅜㅜ ㅋ) Understanding the true meaning and function of the be verb will make you see many things in a new light!
