A profile of the work of musician Rory Gallagher as he prepares to play the National Stadium. The programme includes footage of a concert at The Savoy in Limerick recorded in 1972 and at the National Stadium in Dublin at Christmas 1978. Tonight these two thousand or so empty seats will be filled with Rory Gallagher fans. Rory Gallagher will play four nights at the National Stadium. Dave Heffernan takes a look behind the scenes at the preparations involved in staging the concerts.
