Homeowner says squatters took over her home, changed utilities and mailbox name

Jenny Rouzan thought she had found the perfect home near the Las Vegas Strip and the Las Vegas National Golf Club. Instead, she said, she is dealing with squatters living inside her house. “I do not even know who is on my property,” Rouzan said. Rouzan said the people have been in her home for more than a week. Over that time, she alleged, they put their name on the mailbox, changed her utilities, removed appliances from the home and left the property dirty. “It is beautiful. But right now it is filthy,” Rouzan said. Rouzan said Las police were initially taking action, but she claims the situation changed when the people inside produced paperwork.
