Ingush public figure Adam Khashagulgov appealed to Deputy Prime Minister Magomed Yevloyev following his public criticism of officials for their poor performance. Yevloyev's remarks were prompted by a scandal over a billboard advertisement featuring a woman in lingerie in Nazran. Khashagulgov believes that the deputy prime minister, while criticizing others, forgets his own shortcomings. "You criticize everyone, but you do your own work well? If so, what positive changes have we seen thanks to you? Because of you, many issues, including domestic and foreign policy, are in severe decline, and the Ingush people have suffered greatly as a result. We have open borders to both the east and west. There are no posts, not even a stick, to mark this border," the activist complained. He demanded that Yevloyev resolve the issue of returning refugees from the Prigorodny district to their homes and pay attention to the reopening of liquor stores in the republic. "There are issues no less important than these banners that you're not addressing. Why aren't you telling us that liquor stores are opening up everywhere again? This is destroying our youth. The residents of Prigorodny aren't allowed to live on their own land: they're constantly provoked and interfered with. Why isn't this issue being addressed?" Khashagulgov added. In early May, an advertisement for Zarina clothing featuring a woman in lingerie appeared in central Nazran. Following outrage on social media, Yevloyev demanded an explanation from local officials for this omission and threatened dismissals.
