In a large bowl, whisk the eggs and sugar until the mixture becomes light, pale, and slightly fluffy. Add the vanilla essence, oil, and milk, then mix well until fully combined. In a separate bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and gently mix until you have a smooth batter. Do not overmix. Divide the batter equally into two bowls. Add the 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder to one bowl and mix until well combined. Alternate spoonfuls of the vanilla and chocolate batters into the prepared cake pan. Use a skewer or butter knife to gently swirl the two batters together to create the marble effect. Bake at 160°C for 45–55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
