Grand Massif, France: Cascades (blue) *read description

The famous 14 km blue run from Flaine to Sixt. Unfortunately, this was the most disappointing run I have done. There are too many flat or slightly uphill sections that are quite long, and these were brutal given that I recently recovered from covid. Also, the end section is very skinny, with big steep edges on both sides. It happened to be that those sections were pure ice and rocks, the kind of conditions that make it nearly impossible to slow down. I have done sketchy off-piste and black runs, but this was truly the one run where I thought I was going to die. The run also ends in a place where you have to catch a bus to get back to the main resort. I do have to admit that some sections of this run are really fun, but still its definitely a one-and-done for me. The whole run took around 36 minutes to get down, making it the longest single trail I have done, but I sped up all the flat sections to make the video shorter.
