She Started A School While Struggling To Find Food

Alvareth Bourne had holes in her shoes and could hardly find food when she started a school 31 years ago in Linstead, St Catherine. She named it: Bourne's Little Angel Nursery and Pre School. The school is now being run by her daughter Salome Bourne-Gordon and son-in-law Talbert Gordon - of course propped up by their capable members of staff. Over the years, the school has seen remarkable growth: From one to now 100 students. It is now being housed at two locations - 40 king Street in Linstead, as well as Sunnyside district on the outskirts of Linstead. The founder's daughter eventually appealed for help in creating space at the educational institution. SHE GOT A BRAND NEW SCHOOL.
