Operated by the Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality, the park's easy access and proximity to surrounding provinces make it a popular choice. What to Do at Kuzuyayla Nature Park? Camping: The park offers suitable camping areas. Hiking: The park offers ideal hiking trails. Kuzuyayla Flora Kuzuyayla Nature Park boasts a rich flora. The most common tree species in the park are beech, hornbeam, oak, chestnut, and elm. The park also boasts many different flower and plant species. Work continues at full speed on the Kartepe Cable Car Project, a 50-year-old dream realized by the Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality. The Kartepe Cable Car, which will allow residents of Kocaeli and tourists to reach the summit of the Samandağ Mountains while simultaneously overlooking the Gulf of Izmit and Lake Sapanca, will start at an altitude of 331 meters and ascend to 1,421 meters.
