Megamind - Something Just Like This

Oh my goodness. I cannot tell you how relieved I am that this is finally finished. And I am actually quite pleased with it after so much hard work. So do you guys remember DannyPhantomSG1's recent Favorite Movie Contest where Aariel submitted her Joseph: KOD video? (found here:    • Joseph: King of Dreams - All the Right Moves  ) Well for that same contest I had really wanted to do a video with my favorite movie, which you guys know is Megamind, using this beautiful song. On a side note, Aariel wanted to edit this song first and I begged her to let me use it for this and she finally said yes but she plans to edit with it sometime soon, so... I just thought this song fit SO EXTREMELY well with Megamind, having to do with superheroes and the struggles related to the job. I just thought it was made for Megamind. First, cutting the song to only get the parts I thought fit was a struggle. You may notice I went from the middle, back to the beginning and there's a change of beat The lyric matching was also hard but I think I eventually did it. I did try to fit different scenes to the different characters in the film, something from everyone's point of view (ex. Hal, Metroman, etc.) When I was late for the contest, I decided to quit the project and hadn't opened it for a while, but upon opening it later I figured it was close to done, so I just tried to finish it! You may notice different types of cookie cutters in the beaty parts of the song. At first I had them all as regular fade beats but came to realize that looked too bland and consistent, so I decided to experiment somewhat. I took WAY too much time making different cookie cutter presets and trying to fit them in. That was really fun, but really hard, but I am proud of how they ended up looking. The text was SO hard! I know, it's a bad aesthetic choice to use more than two fonts, and I decided to use four because I just couldn't make up my mind. Some words only looked good in one font and not another, so I just kept them all but tried not to make it look too messy. Other than that, here it is! It may be four months late but I'm glad I got it done! I hope you guys like it! I do! I just love editing with this movie!
