The Sixth Silence - Zytha Lensen - Official Video

This video is part of a broader graduation project of Zytha Lensen in which photography forms the core medium, with this video serving as an additional publication that expands the visual research. The work explores identity and group dynamics through the central question: How can photo-/ videography portray the fragility of identity when individuality is under pressure? Through a visual language combining movement and still imagery, the project examines the tension between individuality and collectivity. It reveals how a group can offer a sense of safety and provide support, recognition, and belonging, while at the same time having the capacity to blur, absorb, or even overwrite individual identity. The collective therefore operates as both a nurturing and suffocating force, continuously balancing between connection and the loss of self.
