Prise en 1967 à Washington lors des manifestations contre la guerre au Vietnam, La Jeune Fille à la fleur est devenue une icône du mouvement hippie. Face aux baïonnettes des soldats américains, une jeune femme brandit son arme : une fleur blanche.
