Lake House Inn (1835–2026) | Historic (and possibly Haunted) Wisconsin Landmark Lost to Fire

After nearly 180 years of history — from Native American village land… to Reconstruction-era hotel… to supper club… to one of the Midwest’s most talked-about haunted locations — the building burned down on January 4. I was lucky enough to visit twice. I explored the decaying hotel floors. Talked ghost stories with the owners. Watched my wife perform in the historic bar. I even tried to 3D scan the hallway (and something very strange happened). Rather than just mourn it, I put together a full look at the history of the property — including early maps, fire details, my photos, and the paranormal stories tied to the space. This video now stands as a kind of memorial. 0:00 The Lake House Inn Fire (What Happened) 2:10 180 Years of History (1835 Origins) 3:22 Native American Village & Blackhawk War Era 5:08 Ownership Timeline & Supper Club Years 5:35 Fire Details & Articles 7:39 St. Patrick’s Day Visit (My First Trip) 9:10 Inside the Tavern & Historic Bar 11:37 The Haunted Upper Floors 12:08 Recent Ghost Sighting 13:37 Outdoor Performance & Summer Visit 14:16 Community Loss & What’s Left 14:47 Full Hotel Walkthrough (Raw Exploration Footage) 35:01 3D Scanning Haunted Locations 40:11 My Possible Ghost Story (Equipment Malfunction) 41:05 Can the Lake House Inn Be Rebuilt?
