Chris Barnard's life and work should be celebrated
Residents of Beaufort West in the Central Karoo say heart transplant pioneer, Professor Chris Barnard's life and work should be celebrated. Barnard is the town's most famous son. He was born there on November 8th, 1922 Sunday marks the 50th anniversary of his groundbreaking first human to human heart transplant.
