Swayambhu - The first visit of Thaye Dorje, His Holiness the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa

Between October 31 and November 10, 2015, Thaye Dorje, His Holiness the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa, paid his third visit to Nepal. Like many other holy sites in the Kathmandu area, Swayambhu stupa and many buildings in its vicinity were damaged during the earthquake that caused widespread devastation across Nepal on April 25, 2015. On November 9, His Holiness Gyalwa Karmapa visited Swayambhu for the first time.
