We visit Sagishima Island, off the coast of Mihara City, where the "water of life" was transported amidst a harsh, self-sufficient lifestyle. And the street corners of Onomichi, where the family savored a fleeting moment of happiness. We revisit iconic scenes from the film, overlaying monochrome memories with the vibrant landscapes of today. We hope you will feel the "preciousness of life" that still breathes in this land, even as times change.
