#nissan #qashqai #suv Launched in 2007 the Nissan Qashqai was a trailblazer vehicle, arguably responsible for the ongoing SUV craze! Since its launch, it has spanned across 3 generations and now is the 3rd generation facelift model released last year. Many more manufacturers are now in the market, meaning more competition than ever. The facelift has brought many styling updates & more interior tech, however the powertrains have remained unchanged. The Qashqai sits at the smaller end of the mid-size SUV market, similar in size to the SEAT Ateca and Skoda Karoq and slightly smaller than the Hyundai Tucson and Kia Sportage. Qashqais are still proudly built in the UK at the Sunderland plant, providing over 5,000 jobs and meaning it is built much closer to home than most European vehicles and much more so than vehicles imported from Japan and China, however it is still similarly priced to cars built further afield.
