First Time in Tashkent, Uzbekistan: Famous Landmarks, Uzbek Plov & Unique Underground Metros

Tashkent, Uzbekistan is a gem of a capital city in Central Asia. First time for us visiting Tashkent, so we explored the best things to do in the Uzbek capital, from historic landmarks to trying local plov cooked in giant cauldrons (an Uzbek must-try staple). We wandered through the cultural and religious heart of Tashkent, the serene Hazrati Imam complex and the newly opened Center of Islamic Civilization just next door. We also went underground to tour the famous and unique Tashkent metro stations: ⭐ Kosmonavtlar ⭐ Alisher Navoi ⭐ Mustaqillik Maydoni Though there are many others, these were the ones we wanted to see most and could fit comfortably into our day and travel route. Visitors are welcomed to go up to the 17th floor of the Soviet-era iconic Hotel Uzbekistan to enjoy the views of the city even if you're not a guest staying at the hotel there.
