Solo Kayak Camping | 54 Miles on the Stillwater River (Part 1)

I’ve been wanting to explore this river for years… and now it’s finally happening. This is Part 1 of a 54-mile journey down the Stillwater River in Ohio, completed over three sections. For this trip, I’m going completely self-supported — dropping my kayak at the launch, driving to the take-out, and riding my bike back to the start before ever getting on the water. From there, it’s all river travel. This first stretch covers 21 miles of paddling, setting up a new tent along the riverbank, and cooking dinner at camp. The Stillwater River, a tributary of the Great Miami River, offers a quiet and scenic route through western Ohio — and this is just the beginning. More from this trip coming soon. 📺 Watch the livestream from camp: https://youtube.com/live/yuXd80Z1ucA?... 🏕️ The new tent I used and tested on this trip (Boonedox ultralight trekking pole tent): https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D643P34W ⏱️ Chapters 0:00-0:37 Intro 0:37-1:58 Dropping the Kayak & Shuttle Setup 1:58-4:47 Biking Back to the Start 4:47-15:21 First 11 Miles on the Stillwater River 15:21-22:14 Setting Up a New Tent at Camp 22:14-28:45 Cooking Dinner 28:45-35:25 Breakfast at Camp & Packing Up 35:25-47:56 Day 2 on the River 47:56-49:12 A Surprise at the Take-Out #kayakcamping #solocamping #kayaking #rivercamping #outdooradventure #stillwaterriver
