G4C15: Industry Circle

Games for Change is celebrating its 12th conference this year, but how close are we to transforming from a movement to a self-sustaining industry? This interactive Town Hall provides an overview of where we stand in this journey, what we have accomplished, and what is left to achieve to build the games for change community into a sustainable industry. Visionary entrepreneur, investor, author and technologist Murat Aktihanoglu frames the issue and presents examples to draw on. Representatives of companies on the vanguard of building the impact games sector highlight their efforts in supporting this transformation. And Q&A with the audience opens the session up to an important community-wide investigation of where we are as a field and what we still need to do to grow the industry and ensure that the good work that harnesses positive power of games continues to flourish for years to come. 00:00 Asi Burak - President, Games for Change 00:41 Murat Aktihanoglu , managing director, Entrepreneurs Roundtable 02:56 Elizabeth Sarquis, CEO & founder, Global Gaming Initiative 09:44 Dan White, Chief Product Officer & Co-Founder, Filament Games 15:09 Jake Witherell, COO, Schell Games 20:06 Justin Leites, Vice President for Games, Amplify 26:08 Karina Linch, SVP Product, BrainPOP 33:04 Ron Goldman, CO-FOunder & CEO, Kognito 39:42 Mat Frenz, Partnership Development, Glasslab 45:56 Murat Akithanoglu 52:31 Q & A
