Korean Epiphones vs Chinese Epiphones. Which is better?

You hear a lot of people rant and rave over the Korean made Epiphones as opposed their Chinese counterparts. While you can find many Korean made instruments on the used market fairly often, you're bound to run into the Chinese ones more, since those are the ones currently in production. But, is it worth the extra effort to seek out one made in a different country, in the same region of the world? Are they really that much different, for better or worse?
