Ethiopia - No rain in Northern Tillabéri - ICRC

Since 2008, herders and farmers in the region of Tillabery are clashing / fighting to get access to water and to fertile land. Their herds are decimated and the harvests insufficient to feed the population due to the recurring drought. Insecurity, linked to a proliferation of weapons, has led to a climate of fear which hinders trade and agricultural activity. The ICRC is distributing food and good quality seed to the most vulnerable families.
