Gay Gordons Scottish country dance mass Ceilidh during Pitlochry's New Year 2024 Street Party

The 2024 Pitlochry New Year Street Party on Atholl Road, with the crowds keeping warm and having fun dancing The Gay Gordons. This annual event on New Year’s Day is held outside Fishers Hotel in Pitlochry, with compere Eddie Rose, displays by The Vale of Atholl Pipe Band and music from Andrew Knight & the West Telferton Dance Band. The Gay Gordons is a Scottish country dance. The usual tune was written by James Scott Skinner and it is also known as The Gordon Highlanders' March.
