The Jakarta Metropolitan Police (Polda Metro Jaya) have begun testing 74 kilograms of gold bullion confiscated from the home of Febrie Adriansyah, the former Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) at the Attorney General's Office (AGO), as part of the evidence gathering process in an alleged corruption and money laundering (TPPU) case. The testing was conducted at the G-Lab laboratory of PT Pegadaian (Persero), witnessed by investigators from the National Police and the Attorney General's Office. The examination aims to ensure the authenticity, purity, and weight of each gold bar before the evidence is handed over to the Attorney General's Office. The gold was seized during a search of Febrie's home in the Sentul area, Bogor Regency, West Java, early Thursday (July 9, 2026) in connection with the investigation of three alleged corruption cases involving coal from the PLTU (power plant), PT Asabri, and Krakatau Steel. "Today, investigators from the Joint Investigation Agency, along with investigators from the Attorney General's Office and Pegadaian, will conduct tests on the gold evidence found, totaling 74 gold coins, equivalent to 74 kilograms," said the Head of Public Relations for the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, Senior Commissioner Budi Hermanto, at the Jakarta Metropolitan Police Detention and Evidence Directorate Building, South Jakarta, Monday (July 13, 2026).
