Mikaben was born in Port-au-Prince in 1981 and is a multi-talented musician who has worked as a producer, composer, and vocalist. Mikaben is one of the few musicians of his generation who can perform flawlessly in any genre, whether it be the traditional Haitian compas, world music, Antillean Zouk, dance hall, Jamaican reggae, or R&B/Hip-Hop, accompanied by his guitar or a full band. As a musician, Mikaben contributed several successful songs to albums by Carimi, including "Baby I missed you," which has amassed over 3 million views on YouTube, and "Fanm sa Move," which has garnered 1.4 million views. However, he has also worked with a number of other artists, including T-Vice, Leila Chicot, Kreyol La, his father Lionel, Bélo, Stanley Georges, Alan Cave, Izolan, Olivier Duret, J Perry, and Wesli Band, to mention a few. The major label WARNER Music France recently signed and published "Ti Pam Nan," a smash in Haiti, in conjunction with J-Perry, as well as a contract for an option on four albums.
