In the city of Nagoya, there's a man who lives each day battling a certain anger. His name is Taishi Sakata (36), and his trademark is his leather jacket. His work, to which he dedicates everything, is "cat rescue." A free-spirited and moody person, he's never considered becoming a regular office worker, calling himself an "activist"—a maverick. He started his rescue work alone seven years ago when he had nowhere to go, but the shelter he runs is in dire straits. He continues to rescue many cats while burdened with a debt of 10 million yen. Amidst the pet boom and the increased demand for cats due to the pandemic, the number of people wanting to own cats is increasing, while at the same time, requests for rescue are constant. He receives more than 20 such requests every month. One day, he went to a location after receiving a request and found a "abandoned kitten." Upon rescuing it, he was shocked by its tragic state. Who could have done this...? He also takes in cats from the city's animal welfare center, and continues to care for them day and night until he finds them new owners. Mr. Sakata cannot tolerate the fact that cats are being sacrificed due to "selfish human actions."
