Gene: 'Save Me, I'm Yours' (John Peel Sessions 95-99)

Gene recorded four sessions for John Peel during the mid to late 90s. This track 'Save Me, I'm Yours' was recorded during their first Peel session, which showcased material from their second album `Drawn To The Deep End'. This track is one of my favourites; Martin Rossiter's haunting lyrics together with Steve Mason's intricate guitar riffs work wonderfully together. Gene were surely one of the UK's most underrated bands. Enjoy.
