Dilenciler Zabıtaya Direnip Gazetecilere Saldırdı

Beggars occupying the busy streets of Manavgat, especially Antalya Avenue, in Antalya's Manavgat district are harassing drivers at traffic lights on the D-400 highway. Holding babies in their arms, they beg for money between vehicles stopped at red lights, creating a traffic hazard. The beggars reacted to warnings and attempted attacks from members of the press who filmed the municipal police's efforts to target the beggars, threatening them and attempting to attack them. The beggars, who primarily occupy the busy streets of Manavgat, especially Antalya Avenue, are primarily women, using their children in their arms to manipulate people's emotions and exploit their pity for money. Some of the women begging on Manavgat's streets have been doing so for nearly 20 years. Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Municipal Police conducted an operation targeting women begging on the ring road. As municipal police officers attempted to escort a woman begging with her child into a municipal police vehicle, two beggars, one of whom was carrying a child, attempted to flee by crossing the road on the Antalya-Alanya D-400 Highway, ignoring traffic. The beggars, apprehended by municipal police officers after a chase, were quick to swear at and threaten members of the press filming them. The four women, three of whom were carrying children, were forced into the vehicle and taken to the municipal police station. They were each fined 208 lira according to Article 33 of Law No. 5326 on Violations. The money they had obtained from begging was confiscated by municipal police officers. ============================ To Subscribe to the Türkiye Newspaper YouTube Channel: ► http://bit.ly/Turkiye-Gazetesi Türkiye Newspaper Official Website ► http://www.turkiyegazetesi.com.tr Türkiye Newspaper Social Media Addresses ►   / turkiyegazetesi   ►   / turkiyegazetesi   ► https://plus.google.com/+turkiyegazetesi ►   / turkiyegazetesicomtr   Türkiye Newspaper News Feed ► http://www.turkiyegazetesi.com.tr/rss...
