Macy’s Tour in Former Bamberger’s (The Macy’s of the 1960s) Livingston Mall in Livingston NJ

This location is pretty much untouched of Bamberger’s. On the First Floor, throughout the entire floor there was a lot of interesting ceiling architecture, going around the perimeter, of the center hallway going through, it was also triple, meaning there was three different parts next to each other going consistently through of it, on each corner of the store you can see this interesting circular design part, in the middle of the store, where the escalators are in between, you can see a little sections with the ceiling goes up higher & in that area are squares shaped with wooden material. The Floor & the architecture in the sections with the old lighting design underneath them was also old, in the back section of the store there was a lot of the Wood & throughout that section. There was another part where the ceiling goes up, with straight lines with these very old school small lights on them. There was also cool architecture near the Toys “R” Us section. Upstairs where the jewelry section is, there was a Ton of that Trip ceiling architecture going around that entire section and above some of the counters and next to it was what was I believe a men’s section with diagonal cool lights, there was much more cool, architecture, and lights as well. The entire escalator area was mirrored/glass especially towards the third floor with ceiling architecture above, that floor was relatively old, but it mostly looks normal. Pretty awesome. Update: As of 2026, This Store is Closing for Good in March & will be demolished with Livingston Mall.
