Beauty and the Monster (1991) Part 1- Prologue (Main Titles)/♪ Chicha ♪

Here's part 1 of the original "Beauty and the Monster". The story begins with Neo Queen Serenity (The Enchantress) disguised as Madame Adelaide Bonfamille offers a rose to a cruel and selfish Pacha (Prince Adam) in exchange for shelter from a storm. When he refuses, she reveals her identity. As punishment for Pacha's lack of compassion, Neo Queen Serenity transforms him into James P. Sullivan (The Beast) and his servants into various animals, despite his pleas for forgiveness for his behavior. She casts a spell on the rose and warns Pacha (or known as "Sully") that the spell will only be broken if he learns to love another, and be loved in return, before the last petal falls, or he will remain a monster forever. Ten years passed, a beautiful but unusual young woman named Chicha (Belle), who lives in a nearby unnamed French village, growing weary of the provincial village life that she is being forced to live, who is an inventor. Chicha loves reading and yearns for a life beyond the village. She is also the object of frequent unwanted attention and lust from the arrogant local hero, Hans (Gaston), who wants to marry her and make her his "little wife" who will bear him handsome sons, cook the food and scrub the floors.
