Ways you can easily and economically prepare different types of paper to accept oil colors. This give you a whole new array of possibilities for oil painting surfaces. You are using a water based material (PVA, acrylic gel medium, gesso, transparent gesso, water based house paint, acrylic paint, maybe even thinned down Elmers glue) to proved a separation between the paper fibers and the oil paint. Everyone has different resources so you'll just have to experiment with what you have and find what works for you.
